Hiking Boots
Having a good pair of hiking boots is arguably one of the most important items you can have before you set off on your next adventure. That doesn’t mean they have to be expensive. Look for a pair that provides you with good arch and ankle support. You’ll also want to make sure they have good rubber traction outsoles to keep you from slipping. Finding a waterproof boot is also a plus, as you’ll typically run into some kind of water or mud on the summits.

Hiking Socks
Hiking socks may be easy to overlook as essential, but the last thing you want while you’re in the middle of a 7-mile hike is to feel the back of your heel rubbing raw because your socks are too thin. A good hiking sock is thick enough to provide you with plenty of support in your shoe. Hiking Pants

However, many people choose to use trekking poles as it helps takes stress of your joints as you ascend or descend down the mountain. Water Bottle
Having enough water for your day hike is essential. You’ll want to make sure you have a reusable water bottle to has enough water for your trip. A good rule of thumb is 1 liter of water for every 2 hours of hiking. Some trails include water stops along the way so be sure to research your hike before counting on it. You can bring a traditional water bottle or buy a pack that fits in your backpack for easy access.
